What is it?
An exciting and challenging day which will teach you to make your own videos for your organisation, and supply you with the kit you need to do it.

Who should attend?
Anyone in a communications or change management role who wants to use the unique power of video to motivate and inform but who lacks the budget to commission outside help.

Previous experience required?
None.

Benefits to the organisation?
Much better internal and external communications at a fraction of the price of commissioning external consultants.

Benefits to the individual?
A new set of creative and technical skills which are of practical benefit inside and outside the organisation; the chance to work creatively in a disciplined way; the sense of satisfaction of making something both beautiful and useful; the confidence of achieving something worthwhile in a new and challenging area.

What ground is covered?
The basics of video-making – research, scripting, shooting, lighting and in-camera editing – are covered in an opening session, then everyone is given a digital video camera and taught how to use it. You spend the rest of the day making a five-minute film which is edited in-camera and shown at the end of the day. The film and the cameras are yours to keep.

Pre-course work?
None.

Dress code?
Comfortable clothes, with a smart change if you plan to present on-camera.

The course is also available in a two-day version. For further information on course content, venues, costs and availability, email tony.coll@btinternet.com or call 0117 987 0442.
